Just because you don't have a fancy top of the range DSLR it doesn't meanyou cant take amazing photographs of your children. The camera is just a tool but knowing a few things about how light works and a bit about composition can immediately improve your images. 

In this practical class you will learn all the tips and trick to taking amazing photographs of your children.

You will learn:

- about the best times of day to take photographs and what to do if it's not the best time. 

- how composition 'rules' work to make your images pop

- the best way to show movement and stop movement 

- the secrets to getting those amazing blurry backgrounds without it looking fake. 

By limiting the class size to six students you will get lots of individual attention to help you make the most of the course. 


Bring your own camera and I'll help you with settings for different occasions   and let you know about its  limitations and what you can do instead.

In this tutorial you'll learn why your clothes don't fit and how to fix it. 
We'll start by finding your bust apex, then measure where that is in relation to your shoulders and your collar bone. Then we'll measure your upper bust and full bust to work out if you need a bust adjustment then finally we'll transfer all of that information to your pattern and sew a toille that fits you.  

Pattern is included the price but you wuill need to bring some cheap woven fabric to make a toille (old bed sheets are good for this!)

Learning to make your own soft furnishings can save you a fortune and you can make your cushion covers perfectly to suit your decor and size of cushions. 

In this beginners class you'll learn how to cut out your fabric and lining fabric so that it fits your cushion perfectly. 

We'll start by making  a fully lined envelope back style cushion cover, this is a simple style but adding a lining elevates the design, helps the cover to hold it's shape better and washes better. 

Our second design adds a hidden zip and a lining for a truly professional finish

We will be making covers to fit a standard 18inch cushions so you'll need to bring 3/4 metre of each fabric you want to use for the cover fabric  and 1.5  metre of lining fabric plus a 16 inch zip

Do you have mobility issues? The studio is at the top of a steep drive but it is possible to park  up near the studio. I can move my car into the road if need be.
